Job Description

QinetiQElectrical EngineerShoeburynessThe roleWe have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Engineer to undertake Planned Preventative Maintenance and associated paperwork across a wide range of facilities across an extensive site.What will you be doing

  • Complete Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid down procedures.
  • Respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary
  • Prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times. Carry out minor alternations and installations within the individuals technical competence and in accordance with current specifications. Liaise with project teamson any alterations, modernizations and other relevant works.
  • Advise the General Manager of any repair and maintenance issues that are likely to affect the smooth running of the site.
What do you need
  • To be considered for this position, the following qualifications are desired for the role:
  • Electrical qualified to City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent, BS 7671 City & Guilds 2382 18th Edition, City & Guilds 2365 Part P.
  • Mechanical knowledge and good interpersonal skills. Time served Electrical Apprenticeship would be an advantage or a current HV/LV AP qualification.
