Job Description

Bookkeeper/Part time Bookkeeper - Southend - Salary up to £33,000 - Outstanding flexible working opportunitiesAre you a detail-oriented individual with a passion for bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative tasks Look no further! AJ Chambers have an exciting opportunity for a bookkeeper to join a well-established accountancy practice based in Southend. If youreseeking a stable and rewarding career in a friendly and supportive environment, this is the perfect fit for you.This is a great opportunity to gain exposure to a diverse portfolio that can offer hands on experience to interesting client work and projects as part of a close knit and friendly team.Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing customer inquiries via email and telephone
  • Swiftly responding to inquiries and coordinating services
  • Conducting basic bookkeeping and managing invoice payments
  • Payroll, VAT, and statutory accounts as required
  • Managing employee expenses
  • Completing necessary customer paperwork and initiating certificate requests
What you’ll enjoy:
  • 28 days holiday (including bank holidays + 3 days over Christmas)
  • 35 hours a week full time - 28 hours part time
  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Bonus scheme of up to 15% of annual salary dependent on several measures met.
  • Opportunity for Working week to be reduced to 4 days with full salary still paid dependent on business.
