Job Description

Do you want to be a part of a global, industry-leading organisationDue to their continued growth, SALTO Systems are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on the role of Technical Product Support, based out of the UK office in Southam, Warwickshire.From its inception in 2001, SALTO was created with one objective: to devise a world-class access control system that was simple to use and extremely efficient, giving users the ability to control all their access needs and secure all their doors withoutcomplex and expensive wiring. Such a solution had to be simple to install and set up, cost-effective, reliable, complete and future-proof. What resulted was their pioneering SVN platform -- the first stand-alone, battery- powered electronic locks for accesscontrol. Since then, their portfolio has evolved conintuouslyand includes electronic locks, wall readers, panic bars, mortise locks, and software solutions such as mobile key access (think apple pay, but entry cards!).Whilst they are committed to growth and prosperity, SALTO are also committed to their staff retention and satisfaction. The ideal candidate for this role will posses a good basic understanding of software and hardware (industry experience not required), and be looking to join a company where they can develop and growwithin.Technical Product Support has three primary responsibilities:

  • Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing these through to resolution.
  • Researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting and identifying solutions to resolve product issues.
  • Following standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate teams.
On top of the typical remote support, this role also offers the successful candidate the opportunity to learn some field support skills - allowing you to get out from behind the desk, on the road, and not only meeting the clientele, but being present inthe very environments SALTO products are installed.The skills needed to excel in Technical Product Support include:
  • Strong communication and IT fluency.
  • Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems.
  • Good understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and other tech products.
  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot basic technical issues.
  • Familiarity with remote desktop applications and helpdesk software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to provide step-by-step technical help, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines,
  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations,
