Job Description

Quality Inspector/CMM ProgrammerJob Role: Quality Inspector/CMM ProgrammerLocation: Southam, Warwickshire (CV47)Working Hours: (Days) Mon-Thurs 07:30-16:30, Friday 07:30-12:30.Pay: £35-45k SalaryThe RoleA job for a Quality Inspector/CMM Programmer has become available in the Southam area. Reporting to the quality manager the role is to support, grow and continuously improve the manufacture of world class products. The candidate will be a critical team leaderin developing new methods of checking and validation of internal components to drawings specifications. You will be required to working closely with the Engineering, Quality and Manufacturing teams to influence the quality for manufacture on existing productsand NPI.The Candidate

  • CMM Programming & setting up of new checking processes.
  • The candidate must be competent using measuring devices including Verniers, Calipers, shadowgraphs and micrometers to inspect tool for first off.
  • Experience inspecting precision machined components.
  • A proven track record within quality department / role.
  • Able to read and interpret 2D drawings and models.
  • A good knowledge of castings & machining.
  • Experienced in NPI and process improvements.
  • Familiar with Quality Systems / PPAP & Environmental Issues.
  • Experience implementing Lean improvements.
  • Knowledge of ISO9002 and other relevant systems.
