Job Description

Procurement Coordinator - Salary upto £25k 25+8 days holidays, Life assurance x3, 7.30am start, 36.5hrs per week, early finish on a Friday.Junior/entry level applications are welcomed from candidates with a commercial/office background in manufacturing looking to transition into a purchasing career.We are recruiting a Procurement Coordinator for an established engineering company in Southam a leading expert in designing and manufacturing products for over 90 years.This role will see you efficiently analyse spend data, purchasing material through the SAP system, material management, production and seeing the process through to supply chain.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES + DUTIES

  • Running of designated MRPs
  • Raising and monitoring purchase orders
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure parts arrive "just in time" for production or customer orders
  • Build and maintain a strong professional and productive relationship with all suppliers. Proactively work with them as needed to maintain service levels that meet our customers needs and are in line with our profit objectives
  • Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Liaising with other departments to ensure the accuracy and SOX compliance of all documentation in the supply chain
  • Monitoring trends and changes in requirement of parts, forecasting and safety stocks
  • Actively seek to identify areas/procedures within both the department and the supply chain as a whole, where improvements could be made and suggest new ideas for implementation.
  • As part of a team structure, be prepared to cover and/or assist other team members as directed by the Order Management Manager.
  • Handling of incoming purchasing and sales calls
  • Manage sales accounts - quotations/orders/credits etc
  • Liaising with Logistics and other departments to ensure timely and correct despatch of orders
  • Dealing with all aspects of collections and returns with both customers and suppliers
