We are looking for an organised and motivated individual to join our Web team asa Junior Web Developer.Working with the Scholastic UK Web team you will follow an Agile process to develop new features and fix bugs on our portfolio of customer-facing websites. You will collaborate with the team and business stakeholders to identify and implement User Storiesusing Ruby on Rails, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate to gain experience in many top industry standard practices including test driven development, pair programming, code reviews and Agile. The successful candidate will receive mentoring and coachingalong with dedicated time to spend learning in order to help them develop their skill set. This means that an aptitude for understanding technical problems and an enthusiasm for learning are more important than experience of the specific technologies.We are a small team with a large brief.
