Job Description

Are you an IT Support Engineer who is becoming a little frustrated in your current role Do you love working on a range of technical domains but currently being pigeon holed Would you enjoy the variety of technical builds and configurations as well as visiting clients on site to do installsWHATS IN IT FOR YOU Opportunity to join a collaborative team but also own projects for a small but successful IT Service provider as they enter a stage of growth. In the ever changing IT industry it is becoming uncommon to find roles where you can remain an expert in one technical area but able to build skills in another without the managers eyes burning a hole in the back of your head. You will join a team who support over 150 businesses in the Warwickshire area and manage their IT systems. As an IT Support Engineer you will be installing, configuring and maintaining hardware and peripherals in a consultative manner. You will also be responsible for the ongoing support of existing customers regarding their data and applications. The role will likely require you to build relationships with businesses, by the being the recognisable face that visits the same group of clients - building rapport, credibility, trust and respect. Salary: GBP25,000 - GBP35,000 DOE Location: SouthamWHAT WILL YOU BE DOING Right from the get-go you will realise that this is a broad and varied role. Tasks with involve diagnosing technical issues with customers of varying IT knowledge, fixing IT peripherals such as printers, scanners and projectors, configuring LAN, WLAN and WAN technologies, restoring servers as well as the configuration and maintenance of Firewalls and VPNs. Safe to say, the list goes on.REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE* Experience of supporting Windows Servers 2012-19, Exchange, Networking, Firewalls, VPN, Windows 10, Mac OSX.* Experience of Cloud Services including Microsoft Azure, Office365, AWS etc.* Knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies - supporting routers, switches and firewalls.* Strong team working skills and a confident communicator.* Methodical approach to problem solving and fault finding.* Experience in an IT Support position as a 2nd or 3rd line engineer.
