Job Description

Micheldever Tyre Services is looking for a Business Analyst who has a real passion for data, analytics and insight, who is able to use data to improve the effectiveness of activity with the ability to interpret data quickly and accurately.Reporting to the Database Marketing Manager (DMM), you will be responsible for assisting in providing a wide range of analytical insights and outputs to deliver incremental volume, units and margin through the company’s Wholesale and Retail divisions.This entry level / recent graduate position requires the Business Analyst to provide analysis which delivers actionable insight, understanding, conclusions and recommendations around the company’s Marketing and Business Development functions. The key phraseis information not data - to be able to draw conclusions & recommendations as a result of analysis. Using your analytical skill set to supply colleagues, as well as field sales teams, with concise summaries that are easy to understand and implement.This key role will work with analytical and predictive models, using demographic and industry data to prepare for and create effective marketing campaigns, both to existing customer retention and new prospect lead generation and deliver post-execution performanceanalysis, to allow for return-on-investment calculations.Supporting the Retail Database Marketing team, the successful candidate will:

  • Extract information from existing BI, CRM and SCV platforms.
  • Derive insight and understanding of customer and consumer behaviour via geodemographic and spatial analysis.
  • Support cross function to deliver the business development programme, including third party retail analysis, consumer behaviour analysis, marketing campaign preparation and analysis, stock and catchment profiling.
  • Support with infill and presence ("whitespots") analysis based on spatial planning, for all house brands, retail and online channels. Produce recommendations and targeted prospect lists from existing customers as well as sourcing external data.
  • Provide and develop ad hoc analysis and spatial catchment reporting as required by senior managers and internal customers, including field sales agent territory optimisation.
About you, are you:
  • Able to demonstrate technical data manipulation in Excel; pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF & NESTED IF Statements, charting & reporting
  • A proficient user of other MS Office Products- Word, Power Point
  • Have experience of Alteryx and/or FastStats (although full training will be provided)
  • Experienced or have an understanding of spatial analytics.

This has led to a restructuring of the Marketing Team - with the creationof this role - bringing together two separate B2B/D2C marketing teams into one and instigating a more matrix structure with clear focus and accountabilities for all.
