In addition, West London NHS Trust offers a generous £3000 Golden Hello to the successful candidates applying for the below posts.The community mental health framework for adults and older adults (2019) set out a vision for providing services in local settings that better reflected the needs of the local population. West London NHS Trust is one of a small number of pilot sites and has developed an exciting new MINT service that offers service users more needs based, episodic interventions integrated with primary care. Occupational therapy will be a key specialism within MINT, overseeing recovery focused interventions that make use of community assets as well as those of the multi disciplinary team.There are exciting opportunities for Band 6 Occupational Therapists to develop OT interventions within MINT teams based in Ealing, Hounslow and Hammersmith and Fulham. Occupational therapy within MINT will involve OT specific assessments, interventions and evaluations to support service users to return to primary care. You will receive professional supervision from a clinical lead occupational therapist who will also be based in MINT.As an Occupational Therapist in West London NHS Trust you will be part of the wider Allied Health Professions (AHP) community, and as a group we have a strong commitment to continuing professional development. Within the trust we provide a range of training and development opportunities for staff, with the expectation that learning is shared as we strive towards excellence. To further support you there is a robust supervision structure in place and an Inpatient Senior OT development group. We also have a Trust Occupational Therapy AHP forum twice a year as well as shared development days across the Trust. We have a five year AHP strategy which aims to support our clinical delivery and identify training and development opportunities for our staff. A copy of the strategy is available on the Trust internet pages.We pride ourselves on our co-production with service users across the trust and from within our Recovery college and those appointed will be expected to co-deliver some courses at the college.We have excellent relationships with local universities and Band 6 OTs are expected to offer student placements.
