Job Title: CAMHS Mental Health SupportTeam (MHST) Lead (CAMHS Core professions such as CBT practitioner, clinical/ counselling psychologist, family systemic psychotherapist, CAMHS Mental Health nurse, CAMHS Occupational therapist, child psychotherapist or CAMHS social worker)Department: Ealing CAMHSBand: 8a (Permanent) 1.0 WTE with introductory golden handshake of up to £5000 (pro rata) and up to £2500 of relocation expenses (subject to conditions)An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CAMHS practitioner to lead three Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) in Ealing. The Mental Health Support Teams programme is a service transformation programme delivered by Health Education England and partners. We are pleased to be able to offer a golden handshake of £5,000 to the successful candidate. In addition to this, the successful candidate may also claim up to £2,500 of relocation expenses (subject to eligibility criteria as per Trust policy). This is a great time to join a large and dynamic new workforce in West London NHS Trust Children and Young People’s Mental Health Services. In January 2019 Ealing launched 2 MHSTs which have been working alongside community partners to engage local schools and provide a range of evidence based interventions for children and young people with common mild to moderate mental health problems (notably anxiety and low mood). The teams have been operating virtually in recent months with our interventions being delivered remotely (mostly via video link) but we hope to be back in schools as soon as possible. We are delighted to have gained significant new investment at this time; enabling us to recruit a third MHST in Ealing . This additional resource will help us diversify our offer so that we can offer more effective early intervention for children and young people with neuro-developmental difficulties such ASD and ADHD.The Mental Health Support Teams in Ealing are based within the Ealing Primary Centre and work very closely with other community-based Tier 2 CYP mental health services and our Counselling Partners who work in many of our schools. They are also have good working relationships with Tier 3 CAMHS colleagues, the majority of whom are based at the Trust Headquarters in Southall. The community served is multi-ethnic and culturally diverse and we welcome applicants who are representative of our Ealing community and skilled at working with the richness and complexity of this multicultural context. We would like to hear from confident CAMHS professionals with a track record of providing quality evidenced based interventions to support young people’s mental health. In addition, you will have significant experience of supervising clinicians, and be able to evidence operational leadership skills. If you are interested in partnership working and want to help shape new models of evidence-based support to promote the emotional wellbeing of children and young people, this job could be for you! This is a specialist mental health practitioner post, but the successful applicant will be supported to maintain their professional registration and will have access to support/supervision from colleagues from within their discipline, if applicable. We offer high quality supervision, with excellent CPD and career development opportunities. For further information and informal visits, please email Dr Ben Aveyard, Professional Lead for CAMHS Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners, West London NHS Trust on Ben.Aveyard@westlondon.nhs.ukClosing Date: 3rd November 2020Interview date: Week commencing 9th November 2020For further details / informal visits contact:NameBen AveyardJob titleHighly Specialist Clinical PsychologistEmail addressBen.Aveyard@westlondon.nhs.uk
