Job Description

Are you interested in making a changing a childs lifeAre you a Learning Support assistant currently looking for a new long-term role to start ASAP or in September 2023Do you have experience working with complex needs and autismAre you looking to progress in your career working in a Primary schoolIf you answered yes, then we want to hear from you!Tempest Resourcing are looking for experienced Learning Support Assistant to work within a Primary School based in Southall, Ealing.A motivated and dedicated learning support assistant is needed by Tempest Resourcing in Ealing, London. The position is full time, Monday to Friday, during the academic year. The school is looking for an LSA who can assist students withlearning disabilities throughout the school day and offer complete academic support.The Role:

  • Helping students with a variety of SEN, such as autism, dyslexia and ADHD
  • Giving students 1:1 or a small group support to aid in their academic development
  • Helping with lesson preparation and delivery
  • Tracking and monitoring student development
  • Creating a rapport with instructors, parents and students
  • Helping with behaviour management in the classroom
We are looking for someone with….
  • Previous experience of working with young people
  • Experience working with SEN
  • Basic understanding of child development and learning
  • Ability to use basic technology.
  • Ability to relate well to children and adults and respond appropriately
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Understanding of relevant politics/code of practise and awareness of relevant legislations
  • Clear DBS on the update service or willing to purchase one
