Job Description

**FEMALE BANK SUPPORT WORKER - NR SOUTHALL £15.00 per hourA fantastic opportunity to work as a Female Bank Support Worker with an engaging 10-year-old boy based Nr Southall. This happy little boy needs his Support Workers to be engaging and interactive whilst supporting him within the family home. It is an essentialrequirement of this role that you should be fluent in English and Indian Punjabi or Hindi.Working as a Bank Support Worker, you will play a key role in providing support on a 1-to-1 basis within the family home with the requirement to participate in physiotherapy, sensory and hydrotherapy sessions with the Client.Bank Support Worker Rates

  • Monday to Saturday - £15 per hour
  • Bank Holidays1.5 x the weekday hourly rate
The ClientOur client has cerebral palsy (level 5) which affects his mobility and gross motor skills, and he has significant cognitive impairment. He is peg fed and unable to communicate verbally or move independently and therefore requires support in all areas ofhis life, including personal care.The role requires the individual to undertake personal care, manual handling and to support with his therapy. Our client enjoys water and hydrotherapy sessions, which help relieve muscle stiffness and pain. The successful candidate will be supported andoffered training from the therapy team, to participate in his rehabilitation programme and to adhere to the protocols in the care plans.Hobbies & InterestsOur Client is encouraged to live as full and comfortable a life as possible, so social and recreational activities are vital, together with supporting with his communication and visual responses.He likes to go out for walks and particularly enjoys music, sensory play and bubbles. He is an enthusiastic participant in his therapy sessions.Person Specification
  • Fluent in English and Indian Punjabi or Hindi is essential
  • Experience of working with clients with complex care needs would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working as a Support Worker is preferable
  • Good written English communication skills essential.
  • Full clean UK driving licence would be useful
