West London NHS Trust is one of the largest most diverse mental health providers in the UK, employing around 3,000 staff who are providing care and treatment for around 20,000 people each year and serving a local population of approximately 700,000 residents.West London Forensic Services provide assessment, treatment and care in conditions of medium and low security and community for men and women from London and other parts of the UK. Local Services provide inpatient and community care for adults of working age and older people and community CAMHS in Hounslow, Ealing and Hammersmith and Fulham. The Trust acts as a teaching centre for Undergraduates and for Postgraduate Trainees in psychiatry. The forensic service also attracts a significant level of international interest from students and practising clinicians who do short term visiting placements.Applications are invited from candidates with training/experience in Forensic Psychiatry for a 6 month Locum Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist post in the West London Forensic Service (WLFS), West London Mental Health NHS Trust. It is essential that applicants have completed some Higher Training in Forensic Psychiatry or have sufficient experience working as a speciality doctor in community forensic services to work as a locum consultant and must be registered with a licence to practice with the GMC. All applicants should have Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status.The FoCuS team is jointly commissioned with CNWL. All medical staff are employed solely by WLNT. The post holds a community case load and works with a full multidisciplinary team. This locum post is replacing an existing substantive role and presents the opportunity to become substantive in due course, subject to appointment at interview.The salary range for this post is £76,761- £103,490 per annum pro-rated plus London Zone Weighting of £2,162 per annum.
