Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sole Property Accountant to join the team in Central London. This role offers a unique opportunity to takecharge of financial modelling and client accounting in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The head office is based in the West End (Soho).Client DetailsThe real estate and property company is a family owned business that are looking for a Sole Property Accountant to manage the end to end accounts for the business and the companys property portfolio. The team is small (20 people across the business) andthe role is split across a number of sectors (Asset management finance, service charge, general accounting and client accounting.DescriptionThe successful Sole Property Accountant will:

  • End-to-end management of the company and property accounts
  • Tenant arrears reporting - with commentary
  • Presenting the accounts directly to clients and dealing with any client queries
  • Fee collection reports
  • Accruals and Prepayments
  • Service charge calculations
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Credit Card reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparation of Year End accounts for multiple entities
  • Liaising with external auditors
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • Client specific bank reconciliations
  • Management of the Payable and Receivable ledgers
  • Processing of the staff expenses
  • Credit Control
  • Preparation and processing of the payment runs
  • Tenant account reconciliations
  • Yearly insurance invoices
  • Onboarding of new tenants onto the property management software
  • Ad hoc reporting on properties and assets - Excel based
ProfileThe successful Sole Property Accountant will:
  • Have approximately 5 years of experience in a similar role and MUST have experience in a finance team within the property sector
  • Have strong Excel skills (financial modelling on Excel)
  • Have a strong background of client accounting, service charge and reporting
  • Ideally have experience doing the accounts for a landlord/client side experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-sufficient
  • Experience using the finance system Xero (desirable, not essential)
  • Studying towards the ACCA or CIMA qualification (desirable, not essential)
