Job Description

Security Support AssistantContract: August 2024Salary: £13.32 per hourLocation: Westminster, LondonHybrid setting:This is a temporary contract role until August for a Security Support Assistant role with an immediate start date (Security Clearance dependant) for a eight-month duration with a possible Eigt-month extension offering a hybrid work setting and a central Londonlocation (Westminster).This is a This is a brilliant opportunity for an individual who is highly motivated and dedicated to work with a government client. We are looking for a friendly, well-organised and adaptable Support Assistant to join our welcoming team of security professionals.As the Security Support Assistant, you will provide comprehensive administrative support to the organisation, carrying out a range of support services, playing an important role in planning and supporting the team to deliver its day-to-day business. Joiningthe organisation, you will be working in a close-knit team helping to deliver a holistic approach to protective security.Key Responsibilities:" Collate information and data to produce reports and documents as required; some may be confidential and/or complex." Arrange, attend, and provide secretariat support to team and other internal and external meetings and/or networks as required. This may include booking meeting rooms; organising hospitality; preparing and producing paperwork, i.e., agendas, action logs, collatingand distributing all necessary information and documentation electronically and taking minutes or action notes as required." Answer general queries, on MS Teams, telephone, in person and via email." Manage the processing new starter/movers and leavers process, annual staff security appraisal forms and register of interest forms." General Inbox management of teams mailboxes, ensuring emails are acknowledged, assigned, and labelled correctly for response, and filed accordingly." Processing of official building passes enabling authorised access to the building." Ensure staff security records are kept up to date, verified and recorded appropriately." Record and file security incidents reported, ensuring appropriate allocation for timely response." Maintaining the Register of Interests, issuing forms to new members of staff, referral of declarations to Security Vetting Administrator," Support to Security Advisor/Deputy SA as required" Provide cover as directed by line Manager for other members of the team in their absence and assist with their workloads as necessary." The above is only an outline of the tasks, responsibilities and outcomes required of the role.
