2nd Line Application / Trader Support, Linux, Windows, Python, SQL, Scripting, E-Trading.Candidates must have previous experience supporting Financial Trading Applications / Market Data Systems in a mixed Linux / Unix (any of RedHat, Debian, CENTOS, SuSE, Solaris) and Windows 2003/8/12/16, Windows 7/8/10 environment.Ideal candidates will strong Linux Systems Administration with at least 2 years Scripting … Python, Bash, Perl, R … along with a strong understanding of Database Architecture - SQL Server / Oracle and some experience of FIX connectivity / Client On-boarding and troubleshooting.Experience of Low Latency / HFT (High Frequency Trading) Systems would be highly advantageous including BIOS / Kernel Tuning and Optimization and any Dev Ops experience beneficial … although this is a superb opportunity for someone with the core Linux Systems Administration to gain exposure to some invaluable skills.Preferred candidates will have been supporting either an Inhouse Futures & Options Trading System or one of the ISV’s products - TT, Stellar, Object Trading / Vela, Fidessa, Itiviti, ULLink, Patsystems, ION, Deltix, Corvil, ATEO, IBM MQ/Algorithmics, GL Trade / Clearvision, Rolfe & Nolan RANTask.A strong knowledge of FIX troubleshooting and on-boarding and connectivity / gateways to the related Exchanges (Euronext / LIFFE, ICE, Eurex / DTB / MISS Servers, FIX, Xetra, Matif, CME, Xetra, BATS / Chi-X, CBOT etc.) or any other Market Data / Trade Floor Support experience (Reuters, Bloomberg, Fidessa, CQG) all highly beneficial.Within reason the role will pay what’s required for "The Right Candidate" but will probably be within the £75 to £120k range depending upon experience.
