Job Description

THE ADVERTTRUST CLUSTER ESTATES MANAGER Start Date: ASAP - subject to notice periodClosing Date: 9am, Monday 17th January 2022Interviews: During week commencing 24th January 2022Salary: £36,922 - £42,821 per annum plus access to excellent contributorypension schemeContract: Permanent, 37 hours per week, 52 weeks30 days annual leave + 8 bank holidaysSherborne Area Schools Trust (SAST) is a strong and ambitious Trust of both primary and secondary schools seeking to ensure an excellent and sustainable 0-19education for children within our community across West and North Dorset as well as South Somerset. In September 2021 the Trust will consist of over 5,000 children and over 850 staff working in 17 schools.This is a pivotal new role identified in response tothe growth of the Trust and to maintain our commitment to provide high quality and safe learning environments for our students and staff. Ideally, you will have experience of Estates management in an educational and/or a multi-site environment, but more importantlyyou will have the professional knowledge and expertise, business acumen, flexibility and determination to make a real difference to our Trust.As a member of the Estates team you will lead and direct site-based teams in a defined geographical area maintainingcompliance across sites, whilst managing the Estates helpdesk ticket system, delivering a cost efficient, customer- focused service. The post holders will work closely together to design and deliver costed programmes of planned maintenance to develop the TrustEstates whilst also working on larger capital projects. You will work in collaboration with school Head teachers and the wider Health, Safety and Estate team. You will provide expert guidance and direction to ensure compliance, deliver a responsiveness maintenanceservice and manage the various Estates projects across the sites.The successful candidate will: Promote and support the vision and values of the Trust Have a proven track record of Estate undertaking and continuous improvement Significant experience of effectiveline management of estates teams across multiple sites Provide effective leadership to ensure a responsive and service-oriented provision is delivered to all sites Demonstrable experience of effective budget management, project and contracts management Becommitted to partnership, collaboration and excellent teamwork Extensive knowledge and expertise of Estates and/or Facilities management and Health and Safety compliance.
