Job Description

If this sounds like you, please read on to find out more about the Technical Sales Manager opportunity covering the South West of England.How will you support usThis role is working with WEBER where you will be responsible for delivering profitable growth through your technical proficiency and generation of specification work as well as the development of relationships with specialist applicators, main contractors and distributors. You will ensure that Saint-Gobain Weber has an active presence in all major civil and structural engineering practices amongst other specifier groups, in both the public and private sector within your region.In the role as a Technical Sales Manager you will;

  • Meet and exceed the monthly specification target through the establishment of relationships with key specifiers within the region, as well as identifying and engaging specifiers with colleagues beyond the region when securing a specification for a project within your allocated region.
  • Ensure that a robust and accurate project pipeline is developed through generating specifications with surveyors, engineers, asset managers etc. and also identifying spec breaking opportunities, both being shared and traded with contractor and distributor partners
  • Be aware of and involved in key projects, schemes and frameworks within their region. During monthly tracking meetings with the team, projects will be reviewed and up to date information expected to have been collated on our CRM system, ensuring we anticipate the needs and wants of our clients and customers.
  • Deliver and will be responsible for annual revenue and profit margin targets for their region in Technical Mortars and Waterproofing by identifying new business opportunities and growth through the generation of project specifications.

  • Technical knowledge from the Concrete Repair or technology/ Waterproofing sector.
  • Experience within the specification sector particularly within the construction sector.
  • Network of civil and structural engineers and building surveyors amongst other specifiers.
  • The motivation to constantly improve service quality, technical ability and improve day to day processes where possible.
  • Working knowledge of typical built environment and civil structures with a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability strategically and technically to develop opportunities through robust business plans and a proactive can-do attitude.
