ROLE: SITS DeveloperSTART DATE: preferably ASAPLENGTH: 3 months initiallyDAILY RATE: £450 - £500 IR35 STATUS: This is outside of IR35.LOCATION: Likely home working for the duration due to COVID-19Description of role/responsibilities: The Student Lifecycle Support Programme has a temporary vacancy for a SITS and e:Vision Developer. This role will be responsible for the analysis, design and development of a suite of e:Vision functionality and any necessary client-server enhancements. You will either be assigned to UG Admissions process improvement or self-apply clearing. If you have experience in either of those areas, it would be advantageous.You will likely have several years experience of developing or enhancing the SITS student record system, preferably acquired within a development/project environment. Experience of analysing user requirements and the ability and willingness to learn new technologies are also essential.Knowledge of good user interface design, including on mobile platforms, and knowledge of user experience research and implementation techniques are desirable.The SITS and e:Vision Developer will be a key member of the project team, developing new system functionality, to deliver significant improvements to the universitys student administrative processes and systems.Essential skills, experience and technical expertise required:*Experience of configuring the SITS student record system and of developing e:Vision applications*Web authoring skills including HTML, XHTML and CSS*Experience of analysing user requirements and designing information systems that meet those requirements whilst also adhering to relevant Programme objectives*Experience of working in an IT development environment and/or experience of working within a Higher Education context and using a high level of technical skill*Experience of complying with standards, methodologies and good practices*Experience of working in agile delivery would be advantageous*Ability to plan and meet deadlines often in the face of numerous, potential competing priorities*Ability to learn quickly and acquire knowledge on personal initiative*An ability to work as part of a team, but also autonomously and with little direct supervisionInterview format: Interview/discussion will be held over Skype due to current circumstances and as soon as possible.Spring Technology acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment and an employment business for the supply of temporary workers.
