Job Description

Hi,I am looking for a Site Manager to assist on the HS2 project.Role Responsibilities:

  • Manage site sub-contractors including Mechanical, Structural and Electrical
  • Evaluating construction progress
  • Raising progress concerns where project is slipping
  • Proactively manage and author site documentation including but not limited to:
  • Construction Phase Plans,
  • RAMS,
  • H&S/ Incident Reports,
  • Lift Plans,
  • Inspection Reports,
  • Non-Conformance Reports,
  • Commissioning Reports
  • Overseeing H&S subcontractor compliance including toolbox talks and compliance with permit to work systems for high risk activities.
  • Pro-actively resolve design & construction related issues with office based engineering team and capturing information in line with internal and client quality procedures
  • Accurately record and report construction progress through site reports
  • Chair project team update calls with team.
  • Attend site meetings as a representative and proactively engage with other contractors at site
  • Liaise directly with Client on site and be project representative on a day to day basis during the preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and completion phases of the project.
  • Manage time around the project requirements including weekend working and extended hours if required.
  • Forecast site schedule and labour requirements in line with construction plan.
  • Liaise with logistic team and ensure shortages are captured and recorded.
  • Essential Skills and Experience
  • SMSTS Qualification
  • CSCS Card
  • CPCS A61 - desirable
  • First Aid (3 Day Course) - desirable
  • Good level of IT literacy and using Microsoft Office
  • Can proficiently read technical drawings
  • Excellent Communication, Organisation and Attention to detail
  • Drivers Licence
  • Previous Experience, managing employees/Sub-contractors on-site
  • Steel Erection Experience
  • Plant commissioning experience
