Job Description

Location: St Helens, Merseyside Pay: £450/day (outside IR35)

  • Are you a Site Agent with experience working on major Highways/Structures projects
  • Do you have a minimum of 8 years experience delivering complex Highways/Structures projects
  • Do you have Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc, MSc, BEng, Meng)
My client is looking for a Site Agent to assist the Senior Agent in ensuring that the works elements under your control are delivered to the correct quality and in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Working collaboratively with the wider project teamto deliver successful project outcomes.Requirements:
  • Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng).
  • Minimum 8 years experience delivering complex structures/roadworks.
  • Site Management Safety Training Scheme SMSTS.
  • Relevant CSCS Card
  • Other relevant training (preferred includes Appointed Person, relevant lifting training and temporary works co-ordination)
  • Understanding of Engineering Principles and extensive technical knowledge of construction techniques and best practices
  • Knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract through formal training.
  • Successful experience at Senior Engineer level
Experience:
  • Structures
  • Experience of large reinforced concrete works and steel beam installation.
  • Experience of large diameter board piling works.
  • Experience of complex lifting operations.
  • Knowledge and experience of interface with the temporary works design teams.
  • Roadworks
  • Experience of managing earthworks contractors to ensure full utilisation throughout.
  • Experience of managing drainage contractors to ensure full utilisation throughout.
  • Experience of managing pavement contractors to ensure full utilisation throughout.
  • Experience of working on projects that interface with live traffic and the management of work within traffic management.
