Job Description

Senior Product Owner - Ecommerce, Digital Transformation, highly remoteThe role:

  • Development of eCommerce user journeys, backlogs & roadmaps through direct customer engagement & indirect via Sales &Business Development teams
  • Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional partners to manage all aspects of the eCommerce business including, business planning, content strategy & development, promotional campaigns & other online marketing, website design, customer service, web analytics & web technologies
  • Serve as a liaison & primary point of contact within the eCommerce organization for cross functional partners acting as a project manager to evaluate, prioritize, develop, manage, implement & test eCommerce initiatives
  • Participate in the development & execution of strategic & tactical business plans with other members of the cross functional team supporting the eCommerce strategy
  • Manage the user experience of the website including site navigation, content development, checkout funnel & promotional campaigns
  • Develop & oversee the effective planning, QA & execution of content across the eCommerce websites to ensure efficiency, accuracy & timeliness of all web content publishing
  • Manage all aspects of web analytics related to eCommerce & communicate relevant information to team members, executive leadership & cross-functional partners
  • Partner with key cross-functional teams to ensure all relevant organizational goals & implications are factored into eCommerce projects
  • Build & direct a cohesive team of internal & external personnel to effectively develop eCommerce solutions
  • Provide expertise on current eCommerce industry best practices. Consult on cross-functional projects to ensure eCommerce principles are incorporated
    • Skills & experience:
  • Experience leading large customer initiatives with measurable impact on business as well as experience building & managing eCommerce businesses.
  • Experience of developing customer facing Portals & Mobile Apps
  • Experience in agile techniques such as product backlog, backlog refinement, sprint planning, scrum master, sprint estimation, user stories, acceptance criteria;
  • Previous experience in the co-ordination of multiple simultaneous projects developing customer facing solution capability & internal knowledge development
  • Successful promotion & customer adoption of Portals providing access to CRM, ERP, product information, remote field support, training content, etc.
  • Experience of developing business engagement & alignment to an agreed Strategic Agenda
  • Experience developing widgets & integrations for commerce platforms
  • Experience working with low code application development
  • Experience working with Dynamics 365, JD Edwards
  • Significant previous experience in a Product manager role, if this is in software & for a complex organisation then this would also be beneficial
  • Successful promotion & customer adoption of Portals providing access to CRM, ERP, product information, remote field support, etc.
