Senior Pensions Administration OfficerSalary: Grade 7 £30,585 - £36,708 per annum (£38,883 unconsolidated maximum achievable through performance related progression)Contract status: PermanentHours: Full-time, 36 hours per weekLocation: Sutton Civic OfficesAbout UsThe shared pensions administration service for Sutton Council and Kingston Council was formed on 1 April 2016 to provide the administration of Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) for both Funds. Combined, the Funds have a total membership of circa 30,000 and in excess of 100 scheme employers. There is a team of 15 staff (16 including this post). About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional candidate to provide flexible support during a transitional period and then ongoing pensions administration thereafter. The role is responsible for providing day-to-day support for the administration of the LGPS and may also be called upon to provide support to the employer and data systems area of business. Duties will include:Benefits calculation of retirement and death benefits calculation of transfers in and out processing responses to divorce proceedings providing responses to questions raised by scheme members and other stakeholders checking and sign off of work produced by junior colleaguesEmployer and Data Support supporting the creation of annual benefit statements supporting employer and payroll provider relationships producing data extracts and dealing with the scheme actuary preparing reports (inc. monthly team report and ad-hoc reports) assisting in the annual data reviews and other periodical data quality audits processing employer returnsAbout YouYou will have a "can do" attitude and will work flexibly to ensure the services are delivered. You will have knowledge of the LGPS or a similar scheme and will have had experience of working with a pensions administration system (Civica UPM or equivalent).
