In this key role, you will Lead on the delivery of Cancer Research UKs Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, bringing together Ethnicity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI), Community & Environment.In this role, youll be a subject matter expert for the organisation, ensuring that CRUKs social and environmental risks are understood and communicated. Youll establish a delivery framework for a new CSR strategy, and youll champion CSR across the organisation,ultimately supporting the organisation in its vision to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.Key Responsibilities: Develop an implementation plan and establish a delivery framework to deliver Cancer Research UKs CSR strategy. Develop targets/successmeasures to monitor progress, aligning with internal & external requirements. Ensure CRUK understands its social & environmental risks and identify opportunities across CRUK. Oversee compliance with all relevant environmental and energy related legislationas well as mandatory energy and carbon related activities such as annual carbon reporting (SERC) and the Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) Create a brand for the CSR team to heighten the profile of the team and establish a network across CRUK who cansupport activities. Develop a comms plan which ensures we are regularly engaging with the organisation. Deliver learning & development materials to enhance staff knowledge & awareness of CRUKs CSR priorities. Lead the development of activities required forthe Modern Slavery Act to ensure CRUK has achievable and measurable plans in place & prepare the MSA statement for Trustee sign off. Ensure CRUK aligns with all legal & regulatory requirements as it relates to the CSR agenda. As line manager of a small team,you will be responsible for creating a positive culture which recognises success and develops and drives high performance.Essential Key Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Behaviours: Significant experience of CSR in a large and complex organisation Excellentstakeholder management through interpersonal, communication, influencing and negotiating skills Experience of setting strategy and goals and enabling collaboration to support delivery across an organisation Strong understanding of current CSR issues facingbusinesses with proven skills in influencing their resolution within a complex matrix structure Ability to collaborate, motivate and work effectively with a variety of different employees and engage across all levels to inform, educate and problem-solve Abilityto develop and maintain established external networks across public, private and third sector to share best practice Significant experience and knowledge across all areas of CSR including: EDI, energy, waste, water, carbon, environment, social and ethicalagendasWhat will I gain Without you we wouldnt be able to achieve our aim of seeing 3 in 4 people survive cancer by 2034.
