Job Description

Scientific Content EditorLocation - South WestThe role:Our client is a leading provider of information to the Life Science industry working with scientific professionals and manufacturers to deliver effective communications and digital marketing to support scientists in the acceleration of research.Due to continued company success an opportunity has now come available for a Scientific Editor to join the business on a permanent basis and support with the production of scientific content for the companies media platforms.As a Scientific Editor you will be responsible for:

  • Creating engaging scientific content in the form of articles, videos and webinars and infographics
  • Develop a first-class network with renowned scientists and laboratory manufacturers
  • Drive forward the reporting of world-class science and product reviews to the network
  • Stay at the forefront of scientific innovation
    • The role involves occasional travel to meet and interview clients along with travel to industry seminars.Suitable applicants:Applicants must have a passion for scientific innovation and an active interest in a role within scientific content generation, along with:
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and written English (Essential)
  • Previous experience in the generation of scientific content (videos, articles, reviews, marketing material or infographics) (Essential)
  • A good understanding of scientific trends and industry challenges (Essential)
  • Creativity, organisation and forward thinking (Essential)
  • Educated to MSc or PhD in a Life Science discipline (or equivalent) and with significant hands-on laboratory experience (Essential)
  • Experience working with digital platforms and search engine optimization (Desirable)
  • Experience building a scientific network (Desirable)
