Salary: MPS / UPS plus TLR 1B (£12,375) and R&R for the rightcandidate Contract: Full Time, permanent Start Date: 1 September 2021 (January 2022 for the right candidate)We are looking to appoint an outstanding Head of Science to leadthe department through this exciting new phase of the schools development.An exciting opportunity has arisen to lead a key department in anexpanding and rapidly improving grammar school. Tunbridge Wells Grammar Schoolfor Boys is undergoing a period of transformational change benefitting frommulti-million pound investment in Tunbridge Wells and a brand new building atour Sevenoaks campus, which will open to 90 Year 7 students in September 2021.The science department is looking to develop and build in thefuture expanding its A-level uptake and STEM activities to ensure that ourstudents go on to the very best universities and pursue careers in thesciences. All students study separate sciences at GCSE with specialist teachingin each subject. We are also in the process of developing an innovative keystage 3 curriculum to develop a lifelong love of science for our students andto build the foundations for success at GCSE and A-level. The ideal candidate will be an inspiring teacher and will have aproven track record of enabling students to achieve outstanding outcomes atGCSE and A-level.
