The role itself includes the following duties and responsibilitiesDuties The postholder will be responsible for: Manning the reception desk, answering the phoneand greetingvisitors to the school from 08:30 - 17:00 in the main buildingManaging deliveries and collections of goods and materials andordering stationeryGeneral clerical, secretarial, data input and handling, and otheradministrative duties as time allowsand the needs of the SchooldictatesTo undertake any training, as necessary, in order to carry out thefunction of the School office efficientlyAdministration for school eventsFirst Aid when required (training can be provided)Arranging transport for some events,including student taxis toGPs etcEvents management - eg The Schools Annual ValedictoryDinnerSkills Competent keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of windowsand Microsoftapplications, especially Word and Excel as well as Google Suiteand Adobe.Goodorganisational skills, including prioritising, and working todeadlines.Good interpersonal/communication skills; the ability to greetvisitors and parents in a friendly manner; tact and diplomacy whenrequired.Appropriate first aid qualification, or willingnessto completetraining.The ability to handle confidential material withdiscretion.An ability to establish good working relationships.A positive and professional telephone manner.A sense of humour and a can-do attitude.A smart, professional appearanceThe positionbecomes available from 1st November 2021.
