Job Description

Psychosocial Practitioner Flexible location (Supporting Central England) 14 Hours per week Fixed Term Contract until 15th May 2022 Salary Range: £38,012 - £42,735 per annum, depending on experience (pro rata for part-time hours) Could you provide psychosocialsupport to staff and volunteers of the British Red Cross across central EnglandWhat you will be doing As a Psychosocial Practitioner, you will provide support to our staff and volunteers who deliver services across central England. You will provide psychosocialsupport in the form of reflective practice, clinical supervision groups and one to one individual support during site visits. You will support our UK Operations services and work closely with staff and volunteers within our Refugee and Restoring Family Linksand Independent Living and Crisis Response teams. You will be responsible for providing clinical supervision and supporting the wellbeing needs of the workforce who, in turn support people in crisis. You will also deliver workshops and off-site support, whilstconsidering the preferences and requests of the local services wishes and the learning of the wider Psychosocial and Mental Health Team. Travel will be required across the geographic areas covered by the role holder. This may include making overnight stays.Service operational hours are 0900 to 1700 Monday to Friday. We envisage the successful candidate working 2 days per week. They will be required to attend Psychosocial and Mental Health team meetings once per month. These meetings take place on a Thursdayor Friday. The successful candidate will initially work from home due to Covid-19 restrictions. This role might be for you if... You will have a relevant mental health qualification (e.g. Postgraduate Degree or other professional qualification) in a professionrelated to psychosocial support (e.g. Clinical Psychology, Psychiatry, Psychotherapy or Social Work) You will have proven post-qualification work experience (e.g. in-service development, voluntary or statutory sector, either in U.K. or overseas) You have experienceand professional expertise in trauma reactions, mental health issues and the management and negotiation of complex situations involving staff/volunteer welfareAbout the team...
