They also have a solid network across the UK. As such they now need a Procurement professional who can be a key link between the Supply chain & a small base of suppliers. Candidates with Purchasing / Procurement experience from engineering, defence or electronics would be most welcome! ROLE:To ensure supply chain support and guidance is offered to the project and bid teams to ensure successful delivery of requirements through effective management of activities. Also to action procurement duties in a timely and efficient manner.Ensure make v buy decisions are well informed through the use of RFIs, RFPs and ITTs as appropriate;Develop and display an understanding of project and business procurement requirements;Assist with internal reporting on KPI and Supplier performanceAs part of the Supply Chain team, ensure support is provided to the function in the development, letting and management of subcontracts on existing and new projects;Raising purchase requisitions, and the administration of purchase orders and amendments to ensure timely achievement of project objectives;Ensure accurate financial, corporate, project and functional reporting, including the maintenance of project Supplier Commitment Records and supplier performance metrics;Raise Good Received Notes and dispatch documentation and dispatching goods;Processing of supplier invoices ensuring all deliverables have been met and appropriate budget holder sign-off is obtained in a timely manner;Timely collation of key supplier and due diligence information, to ensure the companys approved Supplier List is up to date and due diligence requirements are fully met;Assist in the administration and development of procurement processes and procedures within the business, including providing support in the administration and maintenance of functional SharePoint pages;Experience required:Will have worked in a procurement team & will be used to all related supplier measures & paperwork. This includes managing supplier performance, cost & delivery.Ability to work on own initiative and with some supervision;Prioritise own workload and organise own time to achieve objectives;Proactive style and flexible attitude to scope of role;Seek to identify opportunities for continuous improvement within own role;Ability to work quickly and efficiently whilst paying attention to detail;Excellent interpersonal skills & Contribute as an effective team member;High standard of technical skills including MS Office particularly Excel; and PowerPointInterpretation, error checking of data; and Internal Workflow management.Identification of areas for concern with supplier terms and conditions; and Comply with and promote an ethical approach to supply chain management.This is a fantastic opportunity - we look forward to your application.Strive Supply Chain Limited [& associated businesses] acts as an employment agency on behalf of external employers for the provision of permanent staff.
