Job Description

Principal Health, Safety and Environment AdvisorAs a Principal Health, Safety and Environment Advisor, you will use your expertise to support management and employees on-site, to ensure the company HSE policies are successfully implemented and continually improving. You will play a crucial role in creatingpassionately safe working conditions and reducing impact on the environment.About the roleThis is a very dynamic and rewarding role, working closely with a number of departments in the business, including engineering, manufacturing, facilities management and security.The position suits a good communicator with natural ability to translate complex information into easily understandable formats.About You

    • Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
    • CMIOSH or Grad IOSH members of IOSH.
    • Significant experience in Safety, Health and Environment.
    • Broad understanding of manufacturing and laboratory technologies.
    • Knowledge of health and safety legislation, its application and interpretation relevant to manufacturing/ engineering industry.
    • Ability to influence and engage employees at all levels in the organisation.
    • Certificate in Environmental Management (preferred).
    • Expertise in Fire Safety, DSEAR, COMAH, COSHH would be beneficial.
Overview
    • Principal Health, Safety and Environment Advisor/ HSE Professional within manufacturing/ engineering industry.
    • Locations: Henlow/ Stevenage area. Hybrid; typically 3 days a week on site.
    • Salary up to £50,000 a year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits package.
