Job Description

Intervention TeacherThamesmeadSouth East LondonEaster 2021Excellent rates of payClassic Education is assisting a school in the Thamesmead area recruit a qualified intervention teacher for an April 2021 start.The successful intervention teacher will play a key role in assisting students who are experiencing difficulties in the classroom as a result of the limited face to face classroom teaching due to the disruption from the Covid pandemic. With a successful special education background, you will provide expertise and intentional support to students who have fallen behind and demonstrate the associated educational challenges. As a Intervention / Catch-up Teacher you will be required to Provide special direction to students who have been selected for Individualised SupportWork with parents and classroom teachers to consolidate classroom learningDemonstrate strong communication skills and the ability to relate to a diverse student baseProvide detailed documentation of student progress and attainmentAssessment of student potential and recommendations for further support where requiredLiaise with appropriate teams for identified students who are in need of additional assistanceA proven track record in a similar role is essential as you will be required to hit the ground running and make an immediate impact on pupil progress.
