Were looking for two Network Engineer to help us take a proactive, hands on approach to network operations, working with the immediate team along with the wider operations teams, information security and service managers.We want a member of the team whoenjoys problem solving, who works well with others and who is happy to continually learn and share knowledge. We are lucky to have some cutting-edge tools at our disposal from vendors like Cisco, Fortinet, and Meraki. We are punching aboveour weight when comparing the tools available to us in Networks compared with other organisations in our field. The IT teams are very keen to assist employees to gain certifications or experience in areas they are interested in as this has a huge benefit tothe organisation. As the knowledge of employees improves so does the organisationWhat youll be doingWorking with a high-performing team of dedicated network operations personnel, youll be an integral part of the team providing support for the infrastructureas well as project rollout. The role in not limited to networking only, so ideally someone with exposure to wider infrastructure support would be preferred.Youll be developing strong relationships across the organisation as well as externally, with strategicsupport partners and 3rd party vendors, who provide the tooling in use at the National Trust. These engagements ensure not only the day to day running of the network but also provide the basis for a "bigger picture" alignment with the remaining IT departmentsand the general push towards more SaaS, PaaS and IaaS solutions. As Network Engineer will be expected to work along with the other relevant teams to achieve project delivery as well as part of BAU pieces.Who were looking forTo succeed in this role you willneed: A keen interest in networking, with a focus on routing and switching (Cisco experience preferred) Exposure to Meraki Wi-Fi technologies as well as Meraki SD-WAN. Experience supporting and troubleshooting Fortinet products (focus on FortiGate Firewall,FortiClient, FortiManager and FortiAnalyser). Work with a wide variety of tools from various vendors e.g., Cisco, Fortinet and Microsoft The ideal candidate holds or is working towards the following vendor certifications: CCNA R&S, Fortinet NSE3/4, EngineeringCisco Meraki Solutions (ECMS 500-220) or equivalent experience. Proven track record in a NoC support role with daily troubleshooting as well as project deployment experience. Focus will be on the support skills but looking to improve scoping, managing, anddeploying projects on production networks. Have a proactive nature, offer up suggestions or improvements to the team. Ability to take the lead on assigned tasks, meeting engagements, team updates etc. Good understanding of Microsoft server products, mainlyActive Directory, DHCP and DNS and how these integrate with the network. Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS and Azure). Candidate strives to continue learning by way of self-study and certifications.
