Were looking for an IT Asset Manager to help us take a proactive and hands on approach to IT Asset Management. An individual who has experience of working within an IT Asset Management team, but also has the drive and motivation to implement change andimprovement. A willingness to continually learn and share knowledge is a must, in a forever developing landscape. This is a fantastic opportunity for you to enhance the National Trusts approach to IT Asset Management as well as expanding your own knowledgeand experience at the same time.Currently the team is working remotely. Once COVID restrictions ease, youll need to be in our Head Office in Swindon on average one/two days per week. This role will be known internally as an IT Asset Manager.Salary: £35,000-£40,000depending on experience.What its like to work here You will be joining an IT Operations team of 13, who are keen, relaxed, service minded IT professionals who really want to drive forward the maturity and efficiency around IT Operations in line with the needsof the Trust. The team cover various ITIL functions and disciplines.In terms of ITAM, were working on developing our maturity level in this field. But we have some great tools at our disposal, and strong relationships to build on. The IT teams are very keento assist employees to gain certifications or experience in areas they are interested in as this has a huge benefit to the organisation. As the knowledge of employees improves so does the organisation.What youll be doingYou will be part of the IT Asset Management(ITAM) function who are part of the larger IT team. Well be looking for someone to: Work within IT Operations but also collaborate closely and build up strong relationships with the various internal technical teams and third party vendors to the Trust inrelation to ITAM. Manage inventory of CIs and assets to ensure that we are capturing the right detail and remain compliant with our vendors. Provide a service for the purchase and renewal of licences to the Trust. Identify process improvement opportunitiesand ways to automate actions to allow the team more time to develop other areas of ITAM. Contribute towards financial reporting.Who were looking forTo succeed in this role, youll need: Knowledge of licensing agreements and terminology involving software,particularly with Tier one vendors such as Microsoft and Oracle. Knowledge and experience of Snow License Manager and associated discovery/ITSM toolsets e.g., ServiceNow A wide understanding of hardware and software, and how those aspects map into the enduser experience. Keen attention to detail and a data driven mindset. Strong vendor management and negotiation skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Relevant certifications such as ITIL v3 or 4 as a minimum
