Job Description

Salary: 8d £83,000 - £96,000Job Type: Full-time, Fixed term 12 months, Remote working with some onsite presence as requiredJob Summary:We are looking for an experienced Programme Director to provide senior level support to a financial recovery programme for an NHS organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the implementation of a comprehensive financial recoveryplan, engaging with key stakeholders such as the recovery Board of Directors, senior management team, and clinical staff. This is a critical role in the organisations journey to financial sustainability.Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering improvement and transformation in their financial sustainability and providing leadership and expert advice to the recovery board and senior leadership team on operational and financial performance in order to deliver against the annual and strategicobjectives in quality, performance and finance.
  • Working alongside the Executive Leadership Teams and with operational and directorate teams in the Trust to drive delivery of financial sustainability.
  • Building strong working relationships and engagement with system partners to enable delivery of cost improvements and productivity plans to improve financial sustainability.
  • Improvement in value, affordability, and effectiveness of workforce resources and particularly to drive and support improvements in reducing staff numbers
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the organisation to ensure the identification and development of further schemes to deliver improvements in financial sustainability and mitigation of risks of delivery in existing schemes.
Key Essential experience
  • NHS experience at the appropriate Director level within a cost improvement / Financial recovery setting is essential
  • Strong Leadership and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Experience in areas such as elective recovery, Urgent Care and Workforce
  • Immediate availability to start is highly desirable
