Job Description

This role sits in the shared service centre of the business and is covering a period of maternity leave. This position is responsible for the two key control accounting functions of Leasing and Payroll and also assists with the external audit.Client DetailsMy client are a highly reputable PLC in the Wiltshire areaDescriptionThe key responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of 2
  • Ownership of the Lease Management Process - ensuring ongoing conformance and accounting for IFRS16 leases
  • Ensure that both IFRS16 leases and non-qualifying lease information is accurate with recharges and reconciliations actioned on a timely basis
  • Initiative-taking participation with various business units to achieve the successful leasing of assets throughout the company
  • Ownership of the quarterly reconciliation of IFRS16 leases and non-qualifying leases
  • Ownership of the Payroll accounting function and maintaining the relationship with the payroll team
  • Supporting in the production of the year end statutory reports and annual Insurance exposure data preparation
  • Support with the HY/YE audit requirements. Consult with the External auditors on Payroll and IFRS16 leases
  • Identify areas for continued improvement and create a controls environment in line with the accounting controls framework to mitigate the risk of material error or misstatement
ProfileThe successful candidate:
  • You will be ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
  • Experience working with robust corporate financial procedures and reporting methods
  • Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of accounting standards
  • Management experience or ambition to manage a team
  • Excellent people skills
  • Strong excel skills
  • Experience of working under pressure, prioritising, and managing competing deadlines
  • The ability to identify process improvements that deliver quality/efficiency benefits
Job OfferThis role is on a fixed term contract basis paying a salary of £50-55,000 (depending on experience).This is a hybrid working role with 2 days a week required onsite.
