Pay: NJC Scale 4/5 Points 7-17 prorata to £15,047 to £18,341 Start Date: Immediate KS3 English 32.5 hours per week, term timeonly The successful candidate will bepart of our Learning Support team working with students who experiencedifficulties in accessingthe curriculum. The objective of this post is toprovide support to targeted individual students, small groups and classesduring Key Stage 3 English lessons. The needs of the students will vary; somewill have special educational needs such as Dyslexia or ASD.The appointed HLTA would generallywork with small groups of students, within the main classroom, to ensurestudents progress and to boost their confidence. The role will involveplanning, preparing and delivering group work or team teaching with the mainclassteacher. The successful candidate will also be expected to deliverinterventions to targeted students focusing on pre and post teaching of KeyStage English set texts, exam skills and vocabulary. As with all HLTAs the post holderwill be expected to progressstudents learning and with other professionals tosupport pupils social, emotional and physical wellbeing. It is necessary forthe candidate to have qualifications in Maths/Numeracy or English/Literacyequivalent to at least NVQ Level 2.
