An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint a Grants and Compliance Officer to work on the PEAT (People Enabling Area Transformation) Project, which operates across Airedale/Castleford and South East Wakefield (Havercroft & Ryhill, Kinsley & Fitzwilliam, Hemsworth, South Elmsall & South Kirkby).The PEAT project will help communities to engage with grant funding and explore ways in which it can be used to tackle issues at a true grass roots level. The Grants and Compliance Officer will support the Programme Manager with day to day management of delivery and contract compliance, and will carry out verification visits with all project grant recipients.The starting salary for the role will be £27,905 (Grade 8).The postholder will work within the Economic Growth and Skills Service at Wakefield Council and will report to the Community Led Local Development Programme Manager.The post is part-funded by European Structural Investment Fund.For further information please visit our website.Alternatively, you can contact Liz West, CLLD Programme Manager on T: or by an email.
