Job Description

What its like to work here Our Facilities Team are responsible for providing a high-quality back of house service to all colleagues and visitors to our national office, Heelis. Youll work closely with ourFacilities & Contracts Manager and our Business Services Manager to help us take care of our unique building and the people that work in it. Your day will be a mix of ensuring the building is open, safe and operational, carrying out routine health & safetyand fire safety checks, making repairs, planning future work, updating our building compliance systems and working with colleagues to transform our services. On occasion youll also visit our offices in London, Melksham and Trowbridge to deliver the same servicesto them. Youll enjoy all the benefits of being a National Trust staff member as well as being able to work from our unique, flagship office. Our office is well placed, with ample parking nearby, a shopping outlet with plenty of options for places to eat,and the town centre only a 10-minute walk away. Alternatively, you can enjoy our open plan atrium space for lunch times, with our internal cafe available every day.What youll be doing Although Facilities are a small team, we work closely alongside the Welcome& Services and Business Services teams to get things done. Weve recently undergone some changes so youll be joining at an exciting time and will get to lead your team in redesigning and improving what we do. We have exciting plans for the future, and youllhelp us get there. The National Trust is a busy organisation that has a lot going on - especially at the moment. Our office and the way we work has seen some changes in the last year and this change is still being realised. As the Facilities Co-ordinator,youll be responsible for supporting the delivery of an efficient, pro-active and flexible facilities service, helping us make sure our building and its users are well cared for. Youll be a positive member of the team and will help us meet our goal to deliverhigh standards and a prompt service. Youll deliver a range of planned preventative maintenance, reactive maintenance, general repairs, cleaning and caretaking duties, presentation of public areas and visitor facilities including car parks and grounds, preparationof meeting rooms and the co-ordination of back of house services such as deliveries and collections.Who were looking for Experience in a facilities role in a customer service environment Experience in caretaking and general building maintenance Empatheticand customer focussed, youre able to spot the details which matter Confident in handling challenges and asking for help when needed A team player, whos happy to roll their sleeves up and help us get the job done A confident IT user, happy to learn and explorenew technology and systems as well as share the knowledge with others Flexible, customer focussed approach with understanding of good customer service standards Good organisational skills and attention to detail Good interpersonal and communication skillsHold a Full UK Driving Licence The ability to be an on call key holder
