Job Description

Our client is a leading UK Water Company who are seeking an Estimating Manager to join them on a permanent basis in the Somerset Region. They are responsible for the delivery of water treatment, wastewater and network projects. The successful candidate will deliver construction estimates for in-house teams as well as providing assurance and governance to schemes delivered with our clients external partners.Role:

  • Opportunity to build upon the existing small, but dynamic team of Mechanical and Civil Estimators who are responsible for a wide range of engineering projects in the Somerset Region.
  • Responsible for growing the team and meeting the demands of the programme.
  • Upskill your teams to help improve efficiencies in the estimating process and to streamline the delivery of commercial estimating on a varied range of engineering projects and installations.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to manage the production of clean and dirty water network estimates using 1st principles, unit rates or cost models all within agreed timescales.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider business and manage the production of other non-mainstream estimates.
  • You will confidently be able to identify key supply chain suppliers and contractors to support the core functions and manage their engagement, procurement and completion of their works within agree SLAs.
    • Requirements:
  • Extensive experience as an Estimator/Estimating Manager within the Construction Industry.
  • Sound knowledge of both clean and dirty water solutions for Treatment and Network Projects.
  • Excellent people management and communication skills.
  • Previous experience of growing a team is desirable.
