Job Description

A Data Quality Analyst is required by a highly reputable Dorset-based organisation. This position would be ideal for someone who enjoys delving into the depths of data and understands the implications of data quality issues, how to make improvements, and how to present outcomes.Please note that this position is a fixed term contract until 31st December 2021.The position is available on a fully UK-based remote-working basis throughout the full contract term.Responsibilities:

  • Data profiling - this could include a variety of data sources across engineering, support, operations, etc.
  • Ensure the output of data is transparent and understandable to non-technical Stakeholders across the business
  • Investigate areas of poor-quality data and provide recommendations to fix the data, ensuring it is usable and profitable for the business
  • Collaborate with team members to identify any income loss due to poor-quality data, the investment required to fix these datasets, and provide a forecast of ROI by carrying out these improvements
  • Work with other IT departments to identify how data enters the organisation and propose solutions on how to eradicate issues
    • Requirements:
  • Extensive experience working as a Data Quality Analyst (or in Business Intelligence where data quality is intrinsic to your work) working with large datasets (in the millions)
  • Strong understanding of data profiling and investigative techniques
  • Strong technical skills in T-SQL
  • Strong technical understanding of Ataccama or Informatica (or similar tools)
  • Understanding of the data lifecycle used within transactional processing, data warehousing, data analysis, and reporting
  • Must be an effective communicator with both technical and non-technical teams
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to adapt to various approaches and delivery
  • Any experience in data analysis within a customer or marketing environment would be advantageous
    • Salary & Benefits:This is a fixed-term contract up to 31st Dec 2021 offering a salary of between £35,000 - £42,000 p.a. (pro-rata PAYE).You will receive the companys full benefits package, which is exceptional and extremely competitive in the area.
