Venn GroupComponent Engineer - ObsolescenceStevenage or Bolton (1 day in office)£50 per hourInside IR3512 months+Must be UK nationalOur client, a global defence manufacturing company, requires a component engineer to help deliver a comprehensive obsolescence service to meet processing targets and strategise work packages to improve internal customer delivery.Advantageous candidate experience:• Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently• Strong communication skills able to work remotely with teams and facilitate face to face• Dealing with obsolescence database, Export Control and REACH/RoHS would be an advantage• Knowledge and experience of components and parts• Engineering Degree or relevant experience• Proficient in MS Office tools, Outlook, Excel, Word• High concern for order and quality• Able to deal with multiple issues, tasks and priorities concurrently• Strong communication skills to facilitate communications with key stakeholdersResponsibilities:• Processing reactive component obsolescence notifications• Prioritise and monitor obsolescence requests• Processing component data (based on Life cycle status, Export Control and REACH/RoHS compliance)• Commodity support for Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical or Material components• Develop continuous improvement activities and utilise industry standard methodsPlease note: candidates will need to satisfy security criteria.If you are interested in this position or would like to find out more about similar roles please contact Dom Vieten and email your updated CV to
