Job Description

Daniel Owen are pleased to be representing one of the UKs finest precision engineering companies serving the Aerospace sector. As a build-to-print manufacturer of complex machined, treated, and assembled components, the company specialises in airframe, wingand landing gear detail parts as well as speed shop services for spares and AOG requirements. Additionally, they provide an industry leading thread rolling service, with a wide capability envelope and multiple customer approvals. Due to this, and their firmfixation on employment and engineering excellence, they have a renowned reputation and excellent employee satisfaction, which is driven by their focus on offering career developing opportunities.Based on the outskirts of Keynsham and along the Bristol-to-Bath cycle path, they have a number of key clients within the aviation sector on their doorstep, and due to a number of exciting projects kicking off in support of these clients, they are lookingto bring on board a number of talented, driven and experienced CNC Millers. As a key member of the team responsible for the delivery of these larges work packages, your expertise in machine setup, and precision machining will ensure the production of high-qualityparts that meet strict industry standards and specifications. You will work closely with engineers and other manufacturing personnel to optimize production processes, on NPI and towards achieving efficient and accurate machining operations.You:

  • Previous experience setting CNC Milling Machines
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Ability to work to tight tolerances
  • Attention to detail
  • Proactive approach
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • A focus on H&S and contributing towards the companies continuing 0 lost time injury count.
  • Experience using Fanuc controls
  • Experience using Heidenhain controls
  • Lead by example by living the company mission and values, demonstrating a proactive, ethical and can-do approach.
The shifts & machinery:
  • Two shifts available:
    • Days - 6am-2pm Mon-Thurs, 6am-11am Friday
    • Nights - 2pm-10pm Mon-Thurs, 11am-4pm Friday
    • Subject to 1.25x shift allowance.
  • Possibility of nights a 2x pay (£36/hr)
  • 4, 5 and 6-axis Doosans - DNM 400, 4500 and 6700.
The package:
  • £15-16.5/hr. With a 1.25x shift allowance you could earn as much as £20.25/hr!
  • 3 week onboarding process with dedicated training, development and introductory sessions.
  • Health contribution towards dentist & opticians etc.
