Job Description

A Software Developer is responsible for actively participating in the software development and testing activities as a member of one ofmy clientssoftware development teams, working on one or more software solutions.My client is a leading field servicemanagement software company focused on providing an exceptional customer experience, while delivering significant operational efficiencies to their clientle.The person they hire will be competent:

    • in software development with most of the language(s) relevant for the role, though if you dont have experience in ALL, dont let it stop you applying...
      • Good proficiency in C++, with some knowledge of the language specification
      • Good knowledge of the standard library, STL containers, and algorithms
      • Some understanding of memory management in non-garbage collected environments
      • Understanding of dynamic polymorphism and C++ specific notions, such as friend classes
      • Familiarity with templating in C++
      • Knowledge of low-level threading primitives and real-time environments
      • Familiarity with system call wrapper library functions
      • Knowledge of developing cross platform applications.
  • Extensive experience in agile software development, esp. with Scrum Agile working is hugely important to this role and will be used as par for the course
  • Experience in some of these would be beneficial:
    • using JIRA for issue management
    • unit testing
    • code versioning using tools such as Git
    • Working in a pair programing environment.
