Job Description

Pay: Kent Range 3 - £18,039(actual salary £10,214.69) Start Date: As soon as possibleACCOUNTABLE TO PA to HeadteacherHOURS 25 hours per week (term-timeonly) + 5 INSET days - these hours may increase in the future. 9.30am - 2.30pm Monday to Friday(to be agreed) The Holmesdale School is lookingto appoint a reliable, enthusiastic and conscientious Assistant to join theirfriendly Administration team. This is a diverse role where the candidate willbe able to put their many skills and experience into practice. The idealcandidate will be dynamic and forward thinking with a solution focussedmindset. They will display a sensible approach to the role along withflexibility in supporting the departments/staff within the school. This will bea busy role where the successful candidate will be required to multi-task andwork well under pressure. They will also need to deal with difficult people ina calm and professional manner. JOB PURPOSE: To assist with general officeduties in the busy school office to include assisting with cover on reception,reprographics and filing. To provide a high-qualityadministrative service to staff. Key Accountabilities: General Administration General office duties, includingbut not limited to; answering telephone enquiries including taking messages,typing of documents to include letters and reports, photocopying, reprographicsand Laminating and fault reporting to IT department.To assist with cover on receptionwhen necessary and provide a professional service to visitors/parents, staffand students.To check and process emails fromthe Office email account.To assist members of the Adminteam to ensure the smooth running of the school office.To assist with maintaining dataon the School Information Management System (SIMS) and the school data systemsalong with record keeping.To assist with Events Management- help to organise and facilitate hospitality within the school.To work after school hours forOpen Evenings and parent events when needed.Liaise with Mitie (caretakers) asand when required.Order catering and stationerysupplies.Record deliveries and liaise withfinance and the site team for distribution.General Finance Admin &BankingOther School Duties To understand and promote theaims and objectives of The Holmesdale School.To work within school policiesand procedures and Code of Conduct.To contribute to the provision ofan effective environment for learning.To support the promotion ofpositive relationships with parents and outside agencies.To attend skill training andparticipate in personal/performance development as required.To take care of their own andother peoples health and safety.To be aware of the confidentialnature of issues.Closing date: 15th March 2021Interviews: w/c 22nd March 2021Only successful candidates will becontacted for interview.
