Reed Education is building a talent pool of Cover Supervisors to support Secondary Schools inMerton, Sutton and Croydon for the Summer term.• Are you passionate about education• Comfortable interacting with children aged 11-16• Would you be confident being the responsible adult in the classroom and keeping students on task• Think youve got what it takes to inspire children to achieve great results in their studies and develop their flourishing mindsYou don’t need to be a subject specialist nor do you need any teaching qualifications. Just a positive can-do attitude, patience and confidence in interacting with a wide range of personalities.What you will need:• The ability to create an calm learning and teaching environment for all students• Strong ICT Skills• Experience working in an education environment would be beneficial but not essential• A good sense of humour and the ability to get on with up to 30 teenagers at a time• To be an excellent role model to pupils at all times• The ability to implement rewards and sanctions in accordance with the behaviour policy of the school• A current Enhanced DBS or willingness to apply for oneThis is a temporary ad hoc role as part of our supply talent pool to support schools with both planned and emergency so youll need to be able to work flexibly, ideally a minimum of 3 days a week.
