Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity available for a Territory Sales Manager to join us at Saint-Gobain Abrasives, based in South East and the surrounding areas. You will be asked to deliver sustainable profitable growth and build sustainable long term customer trading relationships within your territory in order to deliver the Companys strategy. Were the worlds leading manufacturers of abrasives, so were looking for someone who can uphold our world-renowned reputation.How you will utilise your expertise This role is working with Saint Gobain Abrasives based in South East you will be predominately based from home. You will be responsible for the drive of sales for products and services, manage existing accounts, prospect and secure new accounts and build and share an excellent knowledge of the accessible market.In the role as a Territory Sales Manager you will;

  • Have sole responsibility for managing your given territory covering the South East region
  • Retain and growing existing accounts
  • Proactively seek out new customers and business opportunities
  • Provide new product and service solutions to customers, working the other sector sales in the region in order to benefit from further technical and network support
  • Deliver the annual budget and other KPIs (including revenue and customer service levels).
  • Responsibility for the commercial sales management activity in the region, working with other members of the sales team and Abrasives, as required.
  • Increase customer knowledge / awareness of SGAs products and solutions through visits to distributors, merchants, contractors and other key decision makers; training; presentations; and, supporting marketing initiatives.
  • Understand and support the customers business and objectives, in line with SGA methodology.
  • Undertake the role of market co-ordinator for a sector of the business, and being seem as the expert in terms of market and sector knowledge.
  • Report on all competitor activities and other market intelligence.
  • Undertake relevant management information reporting requirements, including C-View (CRM system), demand / supply process, and activity reports.
  • Champion a culture of customer focus throughout the branch teams and constantly reviewing customer service levels through survey data and customer feedback
  • What were looking for in a Territory Sales Manager:
  • Solid previous experience in a similar role with a proven track record of sales growth
  • Be highly tenacious in approach, determined, goal-orientated and hungry to succeed
  • Have excellent influencing, persuading and negotiating skills,
  • Have a good understanding of the sales process and the ability to handle objection to secure a sale and/or to safeguard stability of a customer relationship
  • Accuracy is key. We try to have a "right first time" attitude. It is this attitude that is behind our great customer service reputation
  • Be extremely customer focused and a strong communicator both to customers and internal colleagues
  • The ability to adapt in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
  • Embed Saint-Gobain Principles of Conduct and Action into working environment and behavioral standards
  • Full driving license as travel will be required
  • Computer Literate - Microsoft Office Suite
