We are currently looking for a Senior Purification Development Scientist to join a leading Biopharmaceutical company based in the Berkshire area. As the Senior Purification Development Scientist you will be responsible for developing purification processesfor scale-up transfer to manufacturing sites.KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Your duties as the Senior Purification Development Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:1. You will apply your knowledge of protein purification chromatographic techniques such as AKTA to develop full downstream processes, whilst training and coaching a range of lab tasks and scientists in the team.2. You will design and execute experimental work, deliver presentations, and lead departmental improvements whilst observing regulatory compliance in the laboratory.3. As the Senior Purification Development Scientist you will be a part of customer and client facing interactions providing regular client updates. 4. You will identify opportunities for process improvements and take ownership troubleshooting departmental processes.ROLE REQUIREMENTS:To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Purification Development Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:1. Relevant degree in a relevant life sciences discipline.2. Proven industry experience in a GMP / GLP environment 3. A working knowledge and practical experience with protein purification chromatography using AKTA systems.
