Job Description

Salary: £45k-£50k Basic + Uncapped CommissionOTE: £65k+Location: Remote (working from home) - ideally based in the home countiesWhat were looking forAre you a creative, self-motivated, highly driven, exceptional salesperson in a SaaS B2B environment with a proven track record of finding and closing new businessWe are looking for a confident, dynamic, entrepreneurial, energetic, high performing individual to join our team as Sales Manager.Within this role you will oversee our new business sales operation with a core focus on generating new logo deals within the UK and North America. You will manage the new business team (currently two Business Development Managers based in the UK) and willalso work with our account management and professional services teams in the UK and North America, coaching and supporting them to meet their sales goals.Reporting directly to the Managing Director, as Sales Manager you will be a member of the Senior Management Team, with a seat at the table to directly influence the companys short and long-term strategy.We are an entirely decentralised team, with colleagues in the UK and North America. This role will be remote working in the UK. Ideally, youll be based within the home counties, but we will consider candidates based anywhere in the UK, and there are opportunitiesthroughout the year to meet in person with colleagues both for business and social activities.The CompanyBased in the UK, and established more than 30 years ago, Artifax Software is a dynamic, industry-leading cloud software company, developing, supporting, and delivering solutions and services for venue and event management.   • Grow New Business in the UK and North America
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of our territories, marketplace, competitive offerings and other business issues relevant to the position
  • Manage the New Business Sales Team - from the complete sales-cycle from lead generation to initial contact, nurturing and relationship-building all the way through to close
  • Set measurable sales targets and activity key performance indicators for the Sales team members
  • Analyse the market to identify growth opportunities
  • Motivate and lead the team to over-achieve sales targets
  • Provide regular reporting on prospecting, pipeline and forecast
  • Carry out line management duties including recruiting, objective setting, appraisals and performance management
  • Carry out training for the team for continued development and best practice
  • Provide presentations, product demonstrations and general support to prospective customers
  • Use effective time and territory management to maximise results
  • Work closely with the marketing team to devise marketing plans, materials and tools to support new sales development
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to our account management and professional services teams, to support them in achieving their sales goals
  • Closely monitor sales CRM systems to ensure full utilisation and accurate information
  • Manage costs of the Sales team in line with company budgets
  • Prepare, report on and present sales forecasts/results, strategies, activities and plans
  • Actively seek and qualify new opportunities, generating leads, contacting potential customers, making appointments and closing deals
  • Grow a sales pipeline
  • Communicate the companys value proposition
  • Deliver professional presentations and product demos utilising your consultative selling skills to produce sales and optimise cross-selling opportunities
  • Attend, present and represent Artifax at conferences, exhibitions and tradeshows (internal and external) as required
Ideally, you will
  • Have at least 3 years experience as a Sales Manager in a SaaS environment
  • Be highly motivated and able to work independently
  • Be a creative problem solver
  • Be an experienced new business sales hunter
  • Have experience in the full sales cycle through to close
  • Have a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
  • Have experience delivering high quality product demos, with excellent presentation skills
  • Have excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Have experience using Salesforce, Hubspot and Microsoft Office (particularly MS Excel)
  • Be target driven with a positive approach to work and a can do attitude
  • Have high integrity, with a keen sense of values
  • Be resilient, with high business acumen
  • Be a self-motivated, flexible and driven professional who thrives on new challenges
  • Be a team player whilst also being happy to work independently and self-motivate
  • Be willing to travel across the UK and abroad
