Being a block manager can sometimes be a thankless task. Along with the long hours, dealing with clients that have unrealistic expectations and a range of regulatory changes that are fast approaching and it’s no wonder there is so much change in the industry. If you’re an experienced block manager and you feel this way, then this position should provide you with the perfect opportunity to blend your property management experience and join our client, a well-established drainage and facilities provider.Having started as a small independent operator, they have grown to become a well-established drainage and facilities services company providing their wide range of services largely to the block management sector. Their clients are mainly across London and the Home Counties, and they are well-known for providing a high quality professional and personal service built along traditional ethics.Due to further expansion, the company is now looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for identifying opportunities to help further expand the business. This focus of this growth will be to increase services provided to existing managing agents and also develop new clients in the residential property management sector so the successful candidate is therefore likely to have experience in the residential block management or property management sector, along with a strong understanding of the type of services our client provides. This position could be of particular interest to an experienced block manager/property manager who feels ready to move out of block management but wishes to use their knowledge and experience already acquired within the property industry. Working partly from home and partly office based (Surrey/Hampshire borders), the successful candidate will be a confident team player who can manage daily business issues and recognise new business opportunities.Key Responsibilities
