Job Description

Are you an experienced Maintenance Engineer with a passion for leading a team Are you looking for a new opportunity with a rapidly growing businessWe have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Maintenance Manager to join our client on a regional basis.Our client has an exciting portfolio of customers that is growing rapidly. They are looking to add a passionate, driven individual to their team who will assist with driving the business forward.Hours of work: 40 hours per weekSalary: OTE upto £80,000 per annum (neg DOE)The role:To manage small outages and call outs throughout the region, whilst supporting the project team with engineering solutions and maintaining strong client relationships.Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Day to day management of the project including safety, operations, technical, quality, and environmental in line with contractual terms & conditions and other legal obligations
  • Ensure Company engineering works/contracts are completed to current UK standards & accreditations in addition to adhering to the Company Management Systems, to the agreed project plans, quality plan and schedule with all project documentation completedand stored appropriately including all mandatory project documentation.
  • To ensure that a safe and healthy work environment exists by adhering to company health, safety and environment policies, and ensure full compliance with relevant legislation. • To minimize Company risk exposure on the project from a safety and technicalaspect by taking a risk based approach to all aspects
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure works are completed in a safe and efficient manner including coordination of internal resources.
  • Drive high productivity.
  • Create positive relationships with clients, employees, and other stakeholders at an operational level.
  • Assist with the production of project plans in conjunction with the Project Managers/Directors assisting with the initial project start up including project specific contract, risk assessment, planning and estimating to ensure full understanding of theproject deliverables and associated risk.
  • Assists with project completion reviews to assess performance, positive & negative and provide information to the Project/Site Managers to instigate changes via senior management to procedures/policies if and when required.
  • Provide technical assistance to the tendering/bid team as and when required.
  • Prepares for and attends project reviews and client liaison meetings abiding by legal requirements in line with the Company contract award
  • Provide assistance with the production and review of the project risk register/assessments/RAMS to highlight potential risks to the Senior Management Team.
  • To mentor the site-based employees to further improve their knowledge and skills whilst developing on-site operational best practice with regard to methods of working.
  • Improve employee performance and engagement.
  • Responsibility for the completion of employee payroll responsibilities utilizing the Kronos system including scheduling and timesheet generation.
  • Working side by side with your team if needed

Requirements for the role:
  • A formal qualification such as a HNC, equivalent or sufficient time & experience within a relevant engineering discipline
  • Experience within the EFW industry
  • Experience of managing employees, transient labour and contractors to deliver KPIs
  • Experience of HSE legislation relevant to the Power industry or heavy process engineering environments
  • Strong communicator
  • IOSH
  • ILM/CMI L5 in Management or equivalent including previous experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
